We are excited and thankful that you are considering us for your child's care. It is truly special to be invited by new parents to be part of their family's journey. The opportunity to provide ongoing care and observe the remarkable growth and development of a child is one of the main reasons we feel privileged to work in pediatrics.
Welcome to your new baby, and congratulations to the blessed parents! Becoming a parent is an incredible journey that brings both joy and challenges. Our team at ALESYA Pediatrics is excited to partner with you to ensure that parenthood is a rewarding experience, offering you guidance along the way. It's completely normal for parents, especially those experiencing this for the first time, to feel anxious about welcoming an infant. We are committed to being available with a provider on call 24/7 for any urgent concerns. After your discharge, please schedule a follow-up appointment with our office within 1-3 days to ensure your baby is feeding well and gaining weight, and address any questions you may have. Our aim is to support you in nurturing your child's physical and emotional health, helping you relax and enjoy your new baby. These visits are a great opportunity for you to get to know us as your pediatricians.
What to expect from your first appointment?
We do a lot at this visit, including:

Check your baby’s weight, length, head circumference

Monitor for signs of jaundice.

Check to see how your baby is feeding.

Answer questions about your new baby.
Immunizations: HepB#1 (if not given in hospital)
Follow up on Newborn Metabolic Screen done in hospital
